Since I haven't written anything since the 22nd, I figured I could at least post some pictures of our trip to Dallas to visit my Dad, Vickie, Josh, Hollie, and my Nana. You can read more about the trip in one of my previous posts, There and Back Again.
Christmas was alright. Olivia had a great time opening presents from Santa, and actually hugged a container of glow sticks. Zoe really just enjoyed ripping the wrapping paper. The entire day was pretty sad though, because we had to take Sage, our dog, to be put to sleep that afternoon. I don't particularly want to discuss it. The gist of it is that he was old and most likely had cancer- we have had a tumor removed before. Anyway, not to be a Christmas downer, but that is how our day went. We did have a Chinese food extravaganza at the local Chinese restaurant, which was so non-traditional and delicious.
I know i promised some of you a new recipe of the week, but I just don't feel up to much blogging right now. After these pictures today, you will probably not hear from me until after New Years. Then we are all going to San Antonio- Halleluia! No matter how much I like exploring new places, there is just no other place as great to be as your hometown. And to have a home as super as San Antonio makes it even better. We will be visiting David's family- this entails Mexican Food, comfy beds, great company, mexican food, cookies, visiting friends, mexican food, and fun. Oh, and Mexican Food. We are getting pretty excited! David is dying to go hunting for a day, and I am ready to do some cooking. Get that kitchen ready Nella!
AND we received a wonderful surprise in the mail yesterday afternoon. A box from Garnet Hill containing gorgeous aqua flannel sheets from my little winter fairy, Nella! Thank you for the surprise!
Grandnana, Granna, and Zoe {my grandmother and stepmom}
Zoe actually held the clothes up to her chest to see how they fit.
This is my mature brother. Can you tell why Livy thinks he is hilarious!
Hey Saldanas, doesn't this remind you of that picture of Ana?
