I finished recovering two of the chairs. They actually turned out better than I expected, considering I have never recovered furniture before. My original intention was to actually sew the new seat cover so it had the original piping around the box edge, but that was going to be too time consuming. The fabric is a pale blue cotton twill that we found on sale at the fabric store. That makes these chairs a real bargain at a whopping $2.50 per chair.
This is one of the lamps that I refinished. They are part of the things in the house that just don't quite work with the more clean lined decor of the house. These two buffet lamps started out bronze until I painted them this nice pebble color. The shade is going to be replaced with a laquored orange or blue shade. I really like how different they feel in the room now.
