Snow days are so great when you are a kid, remember? You could do the same old thing as always, but because you are supposed to be in school they seem much more fun. Although Olivia's school is close by, i just didn't want to drag her out in the bad weather. Not to mention my car is rear-wheel drive; this equals swerve-city on ice. David was post-call, so he was around all day too; the whole day felt like a mini vacation. We lounged around watching movies and munching on Fritos. Later in the afternoon Olivia went out with David to shovel snow. While he shoveled, she made this "snow sculpture" out of chunks of packed snow. Can I tell you how ecstatic I am that she wants to make sculptures at five years old? Anyway, they finished it all off with a tiny snowman complete with crazy mustache smile. Don't you wish you could relive a few snow days? Just for a few hours?
