As you can tell, I refuse to pay any attention to the weather right now. Therefore I refuse to grace it with any of my photography. I am on strike until the sun decides to quit pouting. Instead, you get a photo from last week of the new-to-me glasses in our house. I love their perfect shade of peacock and all of the facets that cause sparkles every time I use them. These beauties were fifty cents each and there were actually twelve of them in perfect condition. I call buys like these my reluctant good fortune, because I let them sit on the thrift store shelf for a good half hour before succumbing to their flirty wiles. But now they are mine, and I love them, and we use them exclusively.
See, we are planning on ripping off all of the doors on the upper cabinets. It should really help to open up the small kitchen. But that means streamlining the dishes that are on those shelves. Not only do I think these are beautiful, they are just the right size for both water and wine. Hooray for thrifting!
