Thank for all the help yesterday.  I got in there and shimmed until I could shim no more.  It looks pretty good now.  We wil just have to trim out the top edge so you can't see the big ol' gap.  No biggie.  Those counters were one of those things that just sort of put my kitchen frustration over the edge.  I have come back to earth and feel fine about where we are with the progress.  Oh, and the electrician came out today and put in the new oven outlet!  I officially have a working stove again!  But I'll tell you what...I now know why we are doing all of this work ourselves.  It cost us $300 to have new wiring run.  Ouch!



Since we are about to leave for vacation, this will be my last official post for the next week.  I may have a chance to blog while at the coast, but I make no promises.  And it may just be photos.  So until my return, have a great week!
