Warning: This post lacks focus. Topics jump all over the place, and it is hard to keep up.
I am sort of in freak-out mode right now. We are leaving for a week of vacation on Friday (all you crazies beware...my parents are watching the house). I have to do all of our laundry today. Packing still needs to be done. Olivia is staying an extra week with David's parents, so I have to take extra time packing her stuff.
I had to get all of the school photos packaged up yesterday which stressed me out a bit. I am glad to have them out of my possession, but it is always a bit tense the moment you know the client is going to see the finished product.
Speaking of client, I am dying to show you the maternity photos I took yesterday. Dying! They are gorgeous! This client was much more daring than my recent maternity sessions, which resulted in simply beautiful results. However, they are a little too exposed for a sneak peak. I tell you one thing...they make me wish I had been more daring with my own. I mean, who looks at them anyway beside yourself? What a lovely thing to be able to go back to later in life. These are the kind of photos that make me realize I found my niche. You know, that moment you know this is absolutely your calling. It makes me so happy to be able to give people these memories in a tangible form.
Now for the annoying part of the post. The kitchen is now my nemesis. See, I have always had this problem of just assuming I can do things. If I want to get something done I just read how to do it and dive in. Where the problem lies is where I expect perfection. I have expected nothing less than a professional job on this kitchen, even though we are doing all of the work ourselves. Well, the counter seam is not level and there isn't really anything we can do about it. I think I am just going to have to live with it. Give me your opinion on how bad this seems.
Excuse the ugly black marks on the wall. They will be covered with tile eventually. So...what do you think? Honestly, I don't know what the solution would be. The counters are level, so we can't change that.
