It really is nice to get away to a place completely different every once in a while. It's even better when that place is your old stomping grounds. I only wish I had been able to take more time with my camera in the city. If you have never been to Austin you really really should visit.

Today was a crazy day for me. It began this morning right after David left in my car. We were supposed to trade for the day because he needed more space for people today. Fine, I said. That is until I walked out to drive Olivia to school and discovered that the cronic flat tire on that car had decided to rear its ugly head. There it was, flat as a pancake, with only twelve minutes till school started. What do I do? Well, first I yelled a bunch of things children should not hear. Then I went to get the double jogger, and gripped myself for the mile-long walk to school in the middle of winter. Should I mention that I have sturdy children who both weigh in over 40 lbs each? When combined with the stroller, that made 110 pounds to push to school. Terrific. I mean, I said I wanted to focus on fitness, but this was a bit too much to start.
Oh, then while I was getting my tire fixed (after I found our air compressor) I realized I had left my wallet at the house. It was a miracle that I had a bit of Christmas money at the bottom of my purse or I might have spent the rest of the day rotating tires.
Well, there's an interesting way to start the year!
