{ In my mind these two photos go together. Kind of strange, isn't it? Something about building blocks or parts of a whole or something. }
Thanks to everyone who stopped by here yesterday. As I stated, this mood usually lasts a few days and begins to subside. I am already feeling an improvement in my outlook. Funny enough, I spent most of yesterday polishing the 200 pieces of my vintage hotel silver. That must sound like a crazy thing to do, but they were really tarnished and I needed an activity that was extremely repetitive. I turned on NPR, got out the polishing creme, and got to work. What a nice feeling to look at my pots of silver now and see all that shine sparkling back at me.
After school Olivia asked if we could make some cookies, so we got to measuring and mixing until we had some delicious M&M cookies. Usually I use the Kitchenaid mixer when I am baking, but I have found the activity to be much more enjoyable if I just get out the bowls and wooden spoon when I bake with the girls. They do love all the stirring.
Today, laundry must get done or we will run out of underwear. I also have plans for a bit of studio organizing, but other than that I am using this week to rebalance myself and take it easy. Zoe and I may read some books a little later. I hope you all have a great day and spend a little time looking at some other sources of inspiration.
These flowers are making me smile, as does most all of her work.
The recent photos of Sandra Juto's home are just heavenly. What a beautiful place to live.
Sarah's library trip makes me want to go to our library (but my overdue fees are keeping me away).
And how can this NOT put a smile on your face?
