I'll be sitting here for a while today, working on shipments and such, feeling that itch to make something that frequently comes over me. The sewing machine hasn't been used in a few weeks, and it might be nice to dust it off a bit and make something new. It has also come to my attention lately that I really need to get a paper cutter. Does this ever happen to you? You realize you just keep trying to make due instead of getting the proper tool? I am notorious for doing this.
Oh, but not only do I often find myself lacking the proper tool. Then it comes to my attention that I have an abundance of other supplies. Why do I do this? For example, recently a friend couldn't believe I didn't have a ruler. At all. No joke, I use my finger to measure. Needless to say she bought me two rulers for my birthday. BUT, I have about 20 pairs of scissors. Really.
The same thing happens in my kitchen. I ran out of coffee filters, which seems like a ridiculous thing to run out of. But I have an abundance of sugar. For some reason I keep thinking we are out of sugar. Why?
I don't have an answer for this dilemma. Maybe it's just one of those unsolved mysteries, never to be resolved.
