I woke up early this morning to the sound of a killer thunderstorm. Now, at 8:45am the sun is already shining and the sky is clearing up. It got me thinking about how tumultuous autumn weather can be. And that is one of the things I love so much about this time of year, all the changes. It got me thinking about my fall manifesto. I think the time has come.
So, this fall, I will...
Pile blankets on all the seats of the house for instant cozy moments.
Listen to Jazz more at night instead of TV.
Keep hot cider in the house at all times.
NOT let the fallen leaves kill the grass in the front yard.
Keep mums alive for more than a week.
Make a new soup at least once a week.
Find a decent pair of houseshoes.
have an organized coat closet will gloves that actually match.
Drink hot toddies outside by the fire pit.
Jump into at least one pile of leaves.
Stockpile the freezer with stuff like apple pies.
Light candles every night.
Be outside as much as possible.
Have a great day everyone! I have a sudden urge to eat some grits with butter and pepper.
