For my last day on inspiration I can't think of a better topic than the inspiration that comes from others. Trips to the museum, talks with artists, browsing the web...these are all things that keep me feeling excited about, well, life. They challenge me to think about my world in a different way. Sometimes they make me feel rather inadequate...but I think we all can occasionally use that humbling reminder. I relish in the idea that there are people out there who appreciate my photos of brooms or a shriveled apple. In return they provide me with so many perspectives on life, and I think this open-mindedness translates to how my children see the world as well.
So, for Friday I wanted to point you to some people and places providing me with inspiration lately.
* museums. just go. grab the kids, drive down the street, and spend an hour surrounded by beauty. Listen to what you kids have to say. wander around.
*Heather's light-filled photo is just right for spring.
*Brian's recent collection of photos simply blows me away.
*The photography of Paolo Roversi.
*drawings in a vintage book on French- I am teaching myself. Ha!
*The art wall in my daughter's pre-school.
*This polaroid from Claire. People have asked me what's so great about polaroid. This image pretty much sums it up.
I am unplugging and doing some spring cleaning around here! Hope you have an inspiring weekend!
xo,
Rachel
