This is the best salad ever. Oh, not because it's anything fancy; it's just spicy mesclun with avocado and lemon-dijon vinaigrette. The reason this salad is so fabulous is because I grew those greens- all by myself. I planted the seeds. I kept them watered. And now I am eating the first full salad from my hard work. That is a pretty great feeling.
Thanks for all the comments on the last post. Even in 2010 I still get asked if I have a job or if I'm just a housewife. Just a housewife. Hmm. Interesting. And although I am a photographer, I don't see why I even need to mention that. Isn't taking care of a family enough of a job? In fact, on any given day I hold down multiple jobs- chauffer, chef, housekeeper, tailor, office manager, event coordinator, teacher, mediator...MOM. That sounds like a lot to me.
