As the sun came streaming in through the kitchen window I realized how much I thrive on those rays to start my day. The past week or so has met us with gray, foggy skies and I am thrilled to begin this week with some bright golden sunshine. Maybe it will motivate me to do some laundry. maybe.
We didn't do a whole lot in terms of productivity over the past few days, but sometimes I think we lose sight that just spending time together as a family is productive!
One of the highlights of the weekend was reading books at the bookstore. We get two tables near the bargain books and magazines. The girls brows the aisles and sit with their selections while David and I get to read magazines. And I came home with a new notebook into which I plan on transferring my favorite recipes.
We also rented Secretariat on Saturday night. The girls absolutely loved it. I am happy any time we can watch a movie that the entire family will enjoy.
I honestly don't know what this week has in store. Hopefully I'll feel a surge in energy and become a homemaking whirlwind. If not, I am going to allow this winter hibernation to continue to be a presence. Soon enough we'll have the windows open and be outside again.
xo,
Rachel
