So far this week has been pretty quiet- a bit vanilla if you're into ice cream references. Honestly, I'm ok with vanilla. I like the calm.
We shared an impromptu meal a few nights ago with our cousins across the street. Literally combining our two parts we had cooked to make a big supper.
Our stores here are wall-to-wall in sweaters, and yet the thermometer in the backyard is still reading temps in the high nineties.
I'm really liking pastas topped with slivers of romano cheese, shaved off the block with a vegetable peeler.
I really wish I had some pine nuts. Or better said, I wish I could afford some pine nuts.
AC/DC is a great mood boosting band, anytime of the day.
I've been keeping the house just picked up enough so it's not a total wreck, not feeling the urge to scrub and scour.
Reading with the girls before bed is my favorite time of the day lately. Those moments make me wish I homeschooled. My quiet time in the middle of the day make me glad I don't.
I've been feeling a bit lost at sea recently. But I think I'm ok with that. I think I'm not supposed to know what to expect out of the next bit of my life, so I just ride the waves for now.
