For someone like me with rather wavy tresses, there is never a better hair day than one spent at the beach. Something about that briny water turns my zany frizz into surfer cool. There are a ton of products on the market geared toward that wavy ocean look, but I don't like spending tons of money or trying to figure out all of those ingredients on the label. I decided to make my own sea spray.
It's so simple one could hardlly call it a recipe. In a spray bottle combine approximately 1 cup water with 2-4 Tablespoons salt and 1 teaspoon glycerine. Shake to dissolve salt. Spritz in hair and let air dry. Viola! Instant beach hair!
I got my glycerine at Whole Foods. Since I already use it as a face wash I had it on hand. You could also experiment with using a dab of conditioner instead if you don't have any glycerine.
And a note...since this spray contains salt it could dry out the hair. I figure it still has to be better than constantly using heat to style it.
