A friend was laughing the other day because they had some dried wax on their carpet and I instantly began telling them how to get it out. She laughed and said her husband had said "I bet Rachel will know how to get it out." I don't know if that's good or bad, but it is true that I know a lot of trivia.
Here are some of my tried and true tips.
For dried wax- heat an iron on low. Place a paper sack over the wax and iron for 15 seconds. Repeat with a clean bag until all the wax is soaked up into the paper.
For creamy smoothies- keep a bag of peeled frozen bananas in the freezer. Use instead of ice.
Spilled red wine- pour salt liberally on spill and let it sit for 10 minutes. Vacuum salt.
Shine copper- lemon and salt, OR tomato juice.
Clean up manicure- use a small brush dipped in nail polish remover to clean any polish on cuticles.
Quick clean jewelry- toothpaste
Ready made pb&j- make them and store in freezer. They will be thawed by lunch but stay fresh tasting.
uncrushed chips- store chips in those clear shoeboxes. They are the perfect size and can be stacked.
Sticker residue- any kind of cooking oil will remove price stickers. Rub onto sticker and scrub with a rag.
Glass markers- write names on the outside of glasses with a wax pencil. Easy to read and remove later.
Have a great day! And share your own tips!
