a day in the life

Eating the last of the Superbowl Chili.  I was sad to see this stuff go.  At some point I will share my recipe for it, but really, you could just chec out the Pure & Simple: An Incircle Cookbook. This is one of my most-used cookbooks; there are no sexy food pictures to pour over, but the recipes are always spot on.  The base of my chili recipe is from this cookbook.  It also boasts dishes like lamb stew with couscous, meatballs bourguignon, souffle, and desserts.  When I want a new recipe that I know will be good, this is the cookbook to which I turn.

Another reason why I love my new sitting area?  It has become the favorite spot for reading books.  Or perusing books in the case here.  Maybe sometime soon there will come a day where I don't talk about my new kitchen area.  Today was not that day.

I hope a good weekend is on the horizon for all of you.  We will start it off again tonight with a viewing of Lost.  Crazy how fast this week passed!
