Feels like frosting

I know it has been a while, but I have finally posted a new recipe of the week.  I guess that makes it more like a recipe whenever I feel like it, but hey, I try.  This Wednesday's recipe is buttercream frosting.  We are huge buttercream fans around here...we will put this stuff on anything.  For Olivia's birthday I left it plain and added food coloring.  We had quite a bit leftover, so I added some cocoa powder to it and put it on this quick chocolate cake.  Really, this is quite a versitile recipe...and an easier version than a lot of the more traditional recipes for buttercream.

Ok, so it has finally happened. My four year old daughter called me Mother this morning. Mother.  Not Mommy or Mom or Mama.  Mother.  She was getting exhasperated at my nagging her to pick up her mess and said "ok Mother."  Seriously, I figured I had at least another five years before that began; I was wrong.  Well, at least I still have a little one to call me mama.  Oh wait...no I don't, because my 17 month old calls me MOM! She kind of yells it.  At least I still have my health.
