Recently, I found a recipe for homemade granola by Ina Garden. We love granola around here, but being a family on a budget doesn't really allow us to purchase the delicious granola at the store for $6. After making a few adjustments to the recipe, I am now addicted to this stuff. It is expecially great for those of you who want to eat breakfast, but just can't get yourself to eat a bowl of oatmeal. Not only is this stuff delicious, but I worked out the cost to be around $2 for the entire recipe. You can sprinkle this stuff over yogurt and fruit, eat it just like cereal, or on top of ice cream. Really, you have to try this one.

Our house is a buzz of energy today, because David is about to start his vacation. Our plan is to have a mix of lazy days around the house and actual vacation outings like a trip to the Berkshires with our landlords who have offered half of their timeshare (It is two condos at a ski resort). We won't be skiing, but there are a lot of museums around and snow to play in. So today I am in cleaning mode, because no one likes to be in a messy house.

Finally...my morning conversation with Olivia-

O: Mom, I'm hungry. Can I have breakfast now? I want peanut butter on a spoon.
Me: No peanut butter. You can have cereal like the rest of us.
O: AND strawberries, AND a banana, but cut them up so I have a lot.
Me: Ok. Do you want blueberries too?
O: Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Blueberries too. Hey mom, why are you giving those strawberries a rough chop?
Me: (A rough chop! Where did she get that from? Seriously I have got to stop letting her watch the food network.)

And, my to do list-
