Buttons Magee Weblog

I know I said I was taking a bloggy break, but I remembered I had made about a million of these little balls and just  had to post them.  You can also see the ones I made for a new friend here.  Sunday (also referred to as the day my nephew was born), I went over to Jenny's house for a crafty blog get together.  What a great way of keeping myself occupied while waiting for the baby to be born!  It was so much fun to meet so many other crafty women.  The really amazing thing is that we all get along as well in real life as we do on each other's blogs.  And you have to go over to Amy's blog to see all the terrific gifts she got from everyone!

{Edit}  The pattern for the balls is from the Sew News website.

I also can't resist posting a picture of some recent acquisitions:  A cool basket from Salvation Army I picked up for 50 cents, and some fabric from Denise Schmidt and Moda.

The big big big thing though is that we finally got the girls' shelves hung.  You have no idea how glad I am to have this completed.  Now the girls have a place for all their toys.  We are trying to employ a more Montessori method around the house, and it seems to be having a very positive effect on Olivia.  She has no problem putting things away when every toy has its own home on the shelf.  This morning she made her bed right after waking up!  Remaining tasks for their room are just things like pictures and decorative shelves, which I am hoping to finish up today.

I am loving my painted words on their dressers.  Any time the obvious is pointed out I get a kick out of it!
